When teaching an online Docker/Kubernetes class, I need to zoom in the picture of my Logitech C920 webcam so I can frame my green screen correctly.  To do that, I use the Advanced Webcam Settings dialog.

This is handy but not all software allow you to display that dialog.  Grrrr! 😡

Here's an easy way to display it using FFmpeg:

1- Install FFmpeg using Chocolatey or from the official Website

choco install ffmpeg

2- Get the exact device name by using:

ffmpeg -list_devices true -f dshow -i dummy

Mine is listed as "HD Pro Webcam C920"

3- Create a bat file and use this command with your device name to pop the dialog

ffmpeg.exe -f dshow -show_video_device_dialog true -i video="HD Pro Webcam C920"

4- Create a desktop icon or simply type the batch file name in a terminal

Voilà!  The settings will be active until you reboot. 👍
